Understanding and Accessing Union Apprenticeships
A workshop for guidance counselors, educators, administrators, and workforce development professionals.
State In-Service Day 10/12/12, 9am - 4pm
Register by 9/21/12
This 7-hour workshop will provide participants with the experience, understanding, and resource materials needed to encourage and support those students for whom admission into a union apprenticeship program could be a promising post-secondary option.
Participants will experience the trades first hand through fun and informative activities led by instructors from the trades, take tours of local training centers, receive awareness training focusing on the career opportunities in the trades, and learn about how their students can qualify and apply for apprenticeship.
This workshop is free unless you are applying for PSU credit. The deadline to register is September 21.
